(HOBART CBD) Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads (TMI1)

This course is designed to provide people with the skills responsible for traffic management implementation on category 1 low volume roads.

If you need to control traffic using a stop-slow bat as part of your job, we recommend you undertake the TC1 and TMI1 combo course.

Prior to enrolling in this training, you must have completed a course in CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or its equivalent.

The assessment includes both theoretical and practical components and is delivered over 2 days of in class training. After completing the in-class theory and practical simulation, students are required to gain practical experience in the field and when ready undertake a final practical assessment in a live traffic environment demonstrating at least 3 different set ups on a category 1 road.

All practical experience requirements must be completed on declared Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 roads within at least six months of successfully completing the in-class training.

After completing the TMI1 final practical assessment you will receive a Statement of Attainment and be issued with a traffic control card with TMI1 Skillset listed as a competency.
