Please note: On 21 January 2019, the training course for Security Officers and Crowd Controllers was updated. The new course CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations supersedes and is not equivalent to the previous course CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations.
On 18 December 2019, Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Commissioners agreed to extend the transition period of the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations and CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations for learner cohorts in NSW, ACT, Tasmania and Victoria until 1 July 2020.
LRD (Licensing and Regulation Division of the Victoria Police) will continue to accept the CPP20212 when applying for a Private Security Individual Licence with the activities of Unarmed Guard and Crowd Controller until advised otherwise.

This qualification is entry level into the security industry. Our training standards aim to be the best in the industry and provide the student with the skills and knowledge to be successful within the Security Industry as a crowd controller or unarmed guard.
Coursework and Assessment
This is a condition of approval by the relevant state authorities. You will be professionally prepared and have confidence when confronted with the day to day duties as a security officer. This course is a competency based training program.
