Please Note: On 21 January 2019, the training course for Security Officers, Crowd Controllers and Control Room Operators was updated. The new course CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations supersedes and is not equivalent to the previous course CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations.
On 18 December 2019, Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Commissioners agreed to extend the transition period of the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations and CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations for learner cohorts in NSW, ACT, Tasmania and Victoria until 1 July 2020.
LRD (Licensing and Regulation Division of the Victoria Police) will continue to accept the CPP20212 when applying for a Private Security Individual Licence with the activity of Control Room Operator until advised otherwise.

Benefits
The Certificate II in Security Operations (Control Room Operator) seeks to provide prospective candidates seeking a career in the Security Industry with key skills in areas of Security Operation within a Control Room and or Monitoring Centre environment.
Given the current context in which the industry operates in, all candidates must have basic to intermediate skills in the English language, have excellent presentation and a willingness to listen and participate in this qualification. A general understanding of computer's will be highly advantageous.
Coursework and Assessment
The course is delivered face to face over a 14 day period for those enrolled in the FULL qualification. If you have already completed a Certificate II in Security Operations—you may apply for a credit transfer by providing evidence of your current certificate and complete a further 4 units over the course of 4 days in the classroom. This course is a competency based training program.

Additional Requirements
